Do I believe that the Bible is the word of God?

Yes. Yes I do believe that the Bible is the word of God. I’ve read through the the Bible many times. For different reasons; I’ve read it because I wanted to know about this God that my grandma used to keep drumming into my head, I’ve read it because of a Preacher I had off and on for over twenty years, and he kept telling me ” don’t believe me, read it for yourself!” I’m reading it now because God showed Himself real in my life, and I found out that the Bible doesn’t try to dress everything up to make it seem like the people that became important in the Bible were perfect. So, there are bad things in the Bible and there are good things in the Bible. I found out that sin keeps us from God, and that we all are sinners. All the way back in genesis chapter three; the fall of man, when Adam disobeyed God by eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. When he disobeyed God sin came into the world. So,you’re not a sinner because you sin, you sin because you are a sinner; so if you’ve never committed a sin in your life, you are still a sinner. The Bible also says that the wages of sin is death, not just physical death but spiritual death, separation from God. But God made preparations for us to be made righteous by giving us His only son to pay for our sins, but if we don’t receive Him/ Jesus Christ, we are refusing to have our sins paid for, and we will have to pay for them ourselves. A free gift for God Himself! I know by now that everyone has heard of John chapter three verses sixteen: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not parish, but have everlasting life.
