I’ve been hearing about this Bible for some time now, so today I decided to take a look at it. No,I am not planning on changing from the King James; which I’ve been reading all my life, but I just wanted to find out what could it have to say that’s not in the King James. I have an app on my phone that allows me to listen to books, which also helps me to pronounce the names of people and places that I have trouble with. I listened to the whole book of Genesis, and so far the only difference I came across is that the wording is a little different from the King James, they are more contemporary so that if you read it to a young child you wouldn’t have to explain what it means; like in Genesis chapter 3 where Eve was explaining what she had done to God; where the King James said ” The Serpent beguiled me” the Ethiopian Bible says the Serpent tricked me. I spent about 3 hours listening, I’ll read some more another time. I wanted to see where did it place the so called missing books. So far I don’t see anything to concerned about.
