An aspiring writer who initially set out to write a novel gets sidetracked by social media and spends hours scrolling through various platforms, checking notifications, and engaging in online debates. As a result, they neglect their writing, losing sight of their original goal of finishing their novel. They become caught up in the temporary satisfaction of social media engagement, drifting away from their true purpose of becoming a published author.
